Taylor Comments on Gov. Keating, Texas Plan

Statement by Senator Stratton Taylor,
Senate President Pro Tempore

"I applaud Governor Keating for officially joining the Texas Plan team. From the beginning, I have advocated that this be a bipartisan effort. By working together on this historic initiative, we have an opportunity to do great things for the state of Oklahoma."

"I look forward to the public debate that will result from the examinations of different state tax codes. I believe the Texas system is the best fit for Oklahoma, but if there is a better state tax code to consider, I am certainly open to discussion."

"I remain confident that this work can be completed in time for consideration in the current legislative session."
