Jim Wilson was born 1947 in
Lake Mills, Wisconsin to Joel and Mary (McCammon) Wilson. After
attending schools in Wisconsin and Oklahoma, Wilson graduated from
Pauls Valley High School in Oklahoma.
Wilson served in the United States
Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. While in Vietnam, Wilson served
on a forward observation team. After the successful completion of
his combat tour, Wilson returned to Oklahoma and enrolled at Oklahoma
State University in Stillwater. In 1971, Wilson graduated with a
Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics.
Before starting his own business,
Wilson worked for the Oklahoma Crime Commission in Oklahoma City.
He worked there for eight years, during which time he implemented
a statewide computer system that assisted state and local law
enforcement.
Wilson is a member of the Democratic
Party, Tahlequah Area Chamber of Commerce, the American Legion,
the Kiwanis Club of Tahlequah and Board of Directors for Thompson
House.
Wilson and his wife, Connie (Thompson)
reside in Tahlequah. They have three children, David, Kim and Jamie.
