State Senator Cliff Branan was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He graduated from Heritage Hall High School and went on to attend the University of Oklahoma where re received his bachelors degree in finance. He then began his distinguished career spanning the past 25 years in the commercial real estate business with Coldwell Banker Commercial, now CB Richard Ellis Co. In 1995, he started Branan Property Company, which specializes in the sale and leasing of office properties. In November, 2002, Senator Branan was elected to serve Senate District 40.

Senator Branan has been recognized by the Research Institute for Economic Development Group for Legislative Service Distinction in 2003, 2005, and 2006. He was awarded the Pathfinder Award for Pro-Growth legislation and the Legislative Excellence Award from the American Royalty Council in 2006. In addition, Branan was awarded the OPIA 2006 Legislator of the Year and one of the 2008 Oklahoma Association of Realtors Legislator of the Year.

Senator Branan is proudly married to Connell, his lovely wife of 15 years. They have two children – a son, Ford (14) and a daughter, Langley (11). In his spare time, the Senator enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
